Where this started

LearnLeaf started with my daughter. She's home-educated, and that sent me down the road of home education and activities — trying to be creative, trying to find things that would actually hold her attention and teach her something at the same time. That search is what grew into LearnLeaf.

Along the way I noticed something that bothered me: there just aren't many genuinely 100% free worksheet sites out there. A lot of them call themselves free, then hit you with a subscription wall the moment you actually try to download something for your child. We know how hard it already is for homeschooling parents — juggling everything yourself, without a school behind you — so our mission with LearnLeaf is to be a properly, 100% free resource, and to make finding the right activity as quick and easy as possible.

What we believe

We think families shouldn't have to pay, sign up, or wade through clutter just to get a decent worksheet. So LearnLeaf is built to be genuinely free — no subscriptions, no sign-up walls — and designed to be calm and easy to use rather than loud and overwhelming. We still use color — we're not pretending otherwise — we just try not to shout with it.

Whether you're home educating, looking for something extra after school, working in early years, or you're a parent just trying to keep a rainy afternoon productive — if you're raising or teaching a child through EYFS or Key Stage 1, this is built for you.

Finding what you need

The search bar at the top of every page filters straight down to the subject or activity you're after, so you can browse clearly without digging through pages you don't need.

We've deliberately kept the whole site minimalist and simple — nothing flashy, nothing shouting for attention. Just an easy-on-the-eye layout so you can find the right activity quickly and get on with using it.

If you'd like new activities sent straight to you, you can subscribe for free. Pick the categories you're interested in and we'll send a monthly email with suitable new activities for your child. Right now we're focused on Early Learners and Key Stage 1, so everything you receive will be pitched at that age range.

We also publish free guides and activity ideas on our blog — from plain-English explainers on what EYFS and Key Stage 1 actually mean, to seasonal roundups like our back-to-school series.

Building a community

The bigger goal is to grow this into a real home education community — a place people come back to, not just a one-off download. My daughter is at the center of why this exists in the first place, and I'd like her to grow up watching this become somewhere other families genuinely rely on.
